UK coaches hit the road for recruiting

Rich Brooks tweeted today and stated that only Randy Sanders, Steve Brown and himself are running practice as the other coaches are looking for recruits. Everyone should expect to hear rumors and reports about recruits over the next couple of days. Since the last two commitments (Brause & Eatmon), UK has been rumored to have a couple of more commits already. I fully expect both Malcolm McDuffen (LB) and Avery Williamson (LB) to commit to the Cats anytime.

It appears that UK's top targets for 2010 right now are; Storm Johnson (RB), Miles Simpson (RB), Austin Collinsworth (FS), Dyjuan Lewis (WR), OJ Ross (WR), Dylan Bostic (DT), Derrick Bryant (DE), Tim Patterson (LB/DE) and Jamius Gunsby (QB/ATH) in no particular order.

Remember Rich Brooks took a helicopter last week to watch Miles Simpson and Austin Collinsworth play (which had to be an impressive entrance). If I was a betting man, I would put money that Joker is in Georgia visiting Storm Johnson and making another stop at LaGrange. Remember UK has a commitment from Joe Mansour and Jamius Gunsby is one of their targets. Kentucky is still selling playing time to recruits by using examples like Randall Cobb, LaRod King and the other true freshman who played in the first game.

Also, a report came out that UK is also interested in Georgia OL Brandon Clark. UK has not offered, but Clark his high on the Cats and wants to play in the SEC. He does have offers from Michigan State and Central Florida while schools like Florida State, Tennessee, Michigan and West Virginia are involved. Clark is listed at 6'4" and 328lbs and projected to play guard in college.

Kentucky will also be hosting recruits for the Louisville game. As of right now, we know that Trevaughn Brooks (RB) and Tyler Robinson (TE) will be at the game and you have to expect that all in-state recruits will come to that game as well (Simpson, Collinsworth, Patterson, McDuffen). I wouldn't be surprised if Brooks commits during his visit because the kid is really high on UK.
