Rich Brooks continues to show support for Mike Hartline, but wouldn't rule out seeing Morgan Newton this year either. Brooks also talks about the learning curve from high school to college for freshmen.
Running back Alfonso Smith will play Saturday, but will be limited due to his thumb injury. The Cats will put a cast on Smith's hand which will effect his ability to catch and carry the ball.
OT Justin Jeffries will not practice on Tuesday and Paul Warford will try to practice, but Brooks is not optimistic about Warford's injury at this point.
It appears certain the Trevard Lindley will not play against South Carolina. If Lindley can't play Saturday, that will present a huge opportunity for Martavious Neloms.
The Kentucky vs. Auburn game on October 17th has been selected by ESPNU at 7:30pm.
