Michael Grant writes that Vandy gets a big return in Norman. Warren Norman is leading the SEC in kick off return yards and TD's. Norman is a true freshman from Atlanta, another example of a school finding a "hidden" talent. Kick-off coverage has been an issue for the Cats this season, they must cover Norman or he will make the Cats pay.
Larry Vaught has another nice article with UK recruiting coordinator Chuck Smith. As Coach Smith points out, UK doesn't get caught up in the "star" rankings. UK has their own evaluation system which they follow, not Rivals or Scout's star ranking system.
Sam Maxwell has emerged as a big time playmaker writes Chip Cosby. NFL scouts are starting to take notice as well. Rich Brooks has stated the Maxwell is one of the most underrated players on the UK rosters, maybe in the entire SEC. Maxwell has the size and skill to play in the NFL, hopefully the linebacker receives an opportunity.
The Tennessean talks about Vandy preparing for Randall Cobb. Cobb didn't play last weekend due to a hand injury, but is expected to play against Vanderbilt. Cobb should have fresh legs and create problems for the Commodore's defense.
Rich Brooks announced yesterday that both Morgan Newton and Mike Hartline will play against Vanderbilt. It would not surprise me if Hartline started, but I would prefer to see Newton start this game and Hartline serve as his backup.
Remember to check back later today for more highlight videos of UK commits and recruits for 2010.
