Is he on the way to UK?

The hub bub around several blogs is that Tee Martin (former UT QB) will become the new UK QB coach. Martin, who followed Manning at UT won a National Championship with the Vols for the '98 season, but never panned out in the NFL. Tee has been serving as the QB coach at New Mexico and has deep recruiting roots in the SEC. Previously, he has hotly recruited in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama; deeper recruiting roots in all of these areas would be beneficial to the CATS as all of these areas are considered "Hot Beds" for High School Football talent.
Thanks for catching the typo! My wife said that she is glad that someone can watch out for me!!

  1. I'm still trying to understand how he fits into the staff. Who is going to coach the wide-out's? Joker? Sanders?

Also, Bill, you got a little typo going on - Tee won his NC in'98.

  2. Joker will probably take the wideouts is my guess. But, I wonder just how good Tee's recruiting connections are.

  3. Take it for what it is worth, but on the local Knoxville sports talk station they reported talking to Tee Martin. He said that he has not talked to UK and is recruiting right now for New Mexico.
