Kentucky Pro Day Notes and Thoughts

Corey Peters worked out again today and has an individual workout with the Browns coming up. Reports suggest Peters ran a faster 40-yard dash today than at the NFL combine, which should help. Remember to check out the interview with Corey from yesterday.

Micah Johnson ran a faster 40 yard dash time today than at the NFL combine. Reports suggest he ran as low as a 4.71 compared to a 5.0 time. He also ran a 4.24 shuttle time which should be faster than most Linebackers.

Trevard Lindley ran a 4.49 40-yard dash time and says he is feeling healthier. Based on what I'm hearing he is looking at a 4th-5th round draft selection.

John Conner did some drills for scouts, but didn't perform the individual testing. He had a good performance at the NFL combine, so there was no reason to test again.

Christian Johnson has shave 25lbs off his frame and ran a 5.2 40-yard dash time. He is still a long shot to get drafted based on reports and will likely get a free agent look.

Alfonso Smith ran a fast 40-yard dash time (low 4.3's), but also impressed with his 36" vertical jump.

Sam Maxwell did well, it sounds like he didn't "wow" anyone, but Sam is coming off a shoulder injury which has set him back a little. He should receive some looks based on his on-field performance.

Several Juniors worked out as well. Reports suggest Derrick Locke impressed with his 40-yard dash time. There have been no official reports, but my guess is his time was as good or better than Alfonso Smith's. Remember, Locke has been trained in track and field too!

Also, Andre Woodson and Dicky Lyons Jr. did some passing and receiving drills for the Scouts on hand.

  1. I heard very little on Harrison. If I hear something, I will post it here.

    Thanks,
