Lamar Dawson (2011-LB) attended UK's spring football practice today. Hope to have more info later today, but he is a key recruit for the 2011 class. While I expect Dawson to take visits to other schools, in my opinion he is UK's to lose at this point. He has an established relationship with Joker Phillips and Chuck Smith.**Update** 12:55 pm
Dawson tells me the visit went well. The tempo was upbeat and they treated him like family. "I like it up there."
The video on Lamar Dawson looks great. I really hope that we end up signing him, I think the odds are good. With the incoming class of three solid LBs as well as young players like Huzzie and Wilson, our depth could really be impressive in a year or two at LB.

Dawson likes the staff and Chuck Smith is connected at Boyle County from his coaching days. In the end, I think Dawson will be a Cat. He is a player who is only going to get better too!
