College Football Expansion -The Sabre Rattling continues

Several weeks ago, there was a lot of hype about the Big 11 expanding and creating chaos within the college ranks as far as conference size goes (I actually wrote a column about it and was one of the few that said that it was a reality), anyways, it look like we were all wrong and that the PAC-10 might become the PAC-16!

Where there is smoke there is ..........!!

This is all about money and conferences expanding their target audiences and getting more TV Revenue. Those who are in charge of looking into the futures regarding their schools had better begin to align themselves with the right conferences, there are millions of dollars at stake on this (Actually, hundreds of millions of dollars).

No one, within the College ranks who is a mover and shaker wants to be the one holding the bag and have to answer as to why they made the wrong choices in regards to conference realignment. Remember the ADs and Presidents Etc have egos just as big as any athlete and none of them want to be known as the person that left money on the table.

This is going to get interesting.

Let the Sabre rattling continue!! Get your popcorn ready!!

UPDATE: Here is the Latest on this issue and it is even better than we imagined!!!

Texas A &M and Florida State U weigh in and it is gooood!

These few random thoughts are why the SEC needs to take the expansion issue seriously.
