Rivals.com position rankings

rivals.com released their first position rankings of the year on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The most notable to this point is Boyle County Linebacker Lamar Dawson. He is ranked as the 3rd Inside Linebacker in America. Kentucky Commit Clint Tucker is rated as a 3* and the #26 DT in the country, one spot away from a 4*. Later on today Glen Faulkner will be ranked, possibly along with Jon Davis, who is an athlete. Look for Faulkner to be in the top 5 Safety's.

On the Offensive side of the ball Theltus Cobbins and Darien Thomas were both nationally ranked. Cobbins was the #23 dual threat QB and Thomas the #60 Wide Receiver. Antonio Cannon is not ranked nationally but is a 3* prospect. Surprisingly though, Darrian Miller was not ranked nationally. He is in the top 100 on Scout.com and a top 20 OT on Espn.

Kentucky football fans should be excited for this class to this point. Not many other teams in the nation have the kind of class that UK has at this moment. A big key will be holding on to the commits, but I do believe that Joker will do that.

  1. Very excited about this year's class, but the lack of respect for Miller from Rivals is pretty baffling.

  2. He probably hasn't been evaluated enough. If he wasn't committed he would probably be higher.

  3. ^ You are right about that, but to not be included in the Top 75 OL on Rivals when Scout has him #14 and ESPNU #17...just doesn't make sense.
