Clint Tucker waivering?

Tonight I was a guest on Larry Glover's talk show and Jeff Drummond was the guest before me. Drummond reported that Clint Tucker could be "wavering" with his commitment to UK. I've been unable to reach Tucker, but did catch up with his teammate, Glenn Faulkner, who said, "I don't know really what's going on with Clint ,but I'm sticking with UK". I'm sure between Faulkner and Tee Martin, Tucker will be a Cat.

  1. I read Jeff's report and it doesn't seem like he's necessarily wavering as much as his commitment is just extremely soft. It will definitely be a fight to keep him right up until signing day. BTW, I heard all of your segments on Larry's show tonight, great job!

  2. He is a self-confessed soft commit which means he is wavering. Don't know why the recruiting websites even bother to put him on UK's commitment list. I predict he'll sign somewhere else. I liked Vaught's interview with Joker talking about soft verbals. Joker said he does not consider a soft commit as a commitment. Scout and Rivals and others should take that same policy. Soft commits don't deserve to be listed on someone's commitment list.

  3. Either your committed or your not it's pretty simple. I don't believe in "soft" verbals either. I haven't interviewed Tucker to get a feel for myself. The staff is recruiting other DT's, so they don't have all their eggs in his basket either.

  4. I see what you guys are saying, but unfortunately that's just how it is in CFB these days. So the only thing you can do is try not to get to worked up about it and let the coaches do the best the can to shore up the commitments by NSD, all the while continuing to recruit that particular position.
