  2. According to Cat's Pause article his teammate, Clint Tucker a 6'2" 285 DT, will also attend junior day this Sunday. Tucker is receiving interest from schools such as Alabama and Notre Dame.

  3. Lamar Dawson's every word will be heavily scrutinized by UK football fans over the next 6-9 months. Dawson is from Danville. It is my personal opinion that Dawson will be a better D-1 MLB than Micah Johnson was. Signing Dawson would be a big boost for UK's 2011 class. Conversely, losing Dawson would be a big missed opportunity for UK's defensive unit and a blow to Joker's coaching staff.

Many UK fans assume Dawson is already in the bag for UK because of his family's relationship with UK Recruiting Coordinator Chuck Smith. In that context, it's interesting that Dawson has chosen to attend UL's junior day, not UK's. Is this because Dawson already knows all about UK? After all, Dawson lives a half-hour drive from UK's campus, and has unofficially visited UK several times. Or is it because Dawson isn't "in the bag" for UK?

Based on everything I am hearing, I believe Dawson will eventually sign with UK. But I am not convinced he is in the bag. This will bear watching.
