While I think the rain had a major impact on attendance, it didn't keep the 2010 signees and 2011 recruits from visiting. Some would say poor attendance at an event like this might hurt the Cats more than help them, but that didn't seem the case based on the recruits I spoke at the game.
Zach West (OL) is a very nice young man and would be a great addition to any football program. He told me Louisville is really pushing him to commit before the season, but he wants to wait. Charlie Strong has made a big impression on him. West could make a decision before his senior year, but don't hold your breath.
Zack Templin (OL) is another very nice young man who doesn't hold an offer from UK, but will work out for the staff on May 30th. Templin will also attend the Nike Combine next weekend at Ohio State. An offer from UK would be hard for Zack to turn down in my opinion. He has always been a UK fan.
Lamar Dawson (LB) was in attendance. I didn't get a chance to speak to him as he left early to visit Cincinnati for their spring game. If Dawson doesn't end up at UK, it would be the biggest surprise in the entire class.
Kendall Walker (LB) was in attendance from Moeller High School in Cincinnati. When I interviewed Kendall a while back, he told me UK wasn't show much interest. It appears that has now changed.
Jesse Hayes (DE) is a teammate of Walker's and came the two attended the game together. Hayes has been a target for the UK staff for quite some time and they both hold several offers.
There were several other players in the 2011 class in attendance. I noticed several kids from local schools (Tates Creek) and some players from the 2010 class brought recruits with them.
