Rivals.com releases top 5 for the state of Kentucky
Rivals ranks their top 5 for the state and I have to say i'm surprised that they only rank 5 players. In a year where Kentucky has quality talent, rivals seems to overlook it. I thought Scout.com and Espn both did a good job of ranking players in the state. Only one 4* made the list and it was Lamar Dawson. Kentucky commit Jon Davis came in at #3, while Darrian Miller was not in the top 5. Overall it's hard to argue with the players who made the list, but I believe rivals hasn't done a good job of evaluating the state to this point. Thoughts?

Rivals will not give the state of KY. any slack. If you don't attend their camps, guess we are lucky to get 5 from them.
ReplyDeleteI've always liked Rivals rankings the best, but they really dropped the ball big time with the KY kids this year. No excuse for the lack of homework they put into covering the state thus far.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Rivals typically basis their rankings on subscriptions. While I love Lamar Dawson and his ability, Jon Davis is an athletic FREAK. They dropped the ball on several players. My guess is by the end of the year, more will become ranked. I'm going to post my updated high school rankings tomorrow. Would love any feedback.
