Lanefski was rated a 2* by rivals.com. He is from Mobile, Alabama where he attended McGill Toolen. Lanefski can play Guard or Center. He will be going into his Jr. season. He injured his knee after only 5 games last season. His Freshman season he played in every game, earning starts in 4 of those games. He looks to compete for a starting role this year.
It is a sign of the times when a player that started 4 games and played in them all as an undersized freshman isn't a lock for starting as a Junior. It is also one of the reasons I am not too concerned about the OL this year.
