UK Tailgating Fan of the Week- Florida

At each UK football game I am going to do a profile on one die hard UK football fan. In this case, I had the pleasure of meeting and tailgating with my new friend Sim. Sim is from Middlesboro, Kentucky and as most UK fans, he bleeds blue. Sim heads to Commonwealth on Friday before every game to claim his tailgating spot, (in the blue lot) right beside the stadium and the Nutter training facility. When Sim talks about UK, you can hear the passion his voice. While eating some of Sim's Gator Stew and having a few cold one's, I asked him some questions about UK to share with the visitors on this site.


Aaron: "Who is your favorite UK football player of all time?"
Sim: "Derrick Ramsey, he commanded the field when he played. He went 6-0 in the SEC and is the best player to have played at Kentucky. Have you seen his Youtube video?"


Aaron: "What is your favorite UK football moment?"
Sim: "Louisville Game 2007. When Stevie got loose, we won and I actually shed a tear."


Aaron: "Who is the player for UK that will receive the Rich Brooks chest bump for UK to upset the Gators?"
Sim: "Micah Johnson will have to come up huge for UK to win".


After the game, I stopped by Sim's tailgating spot to see how he was doing. Sim, just like myself and every other UK fan was disappointed with the team's effort against the Gators. You can stop by and see Sim at the blue lot. He will be smoking ribs on Friday night this week for the Alabama game. You can guarantee I will be there with my new friend talking Kentucky football.
