The USA Today released coaching salaries for 2009, which includes the assistant coaches salaries as well. Of course Joker leads the UK staff followed by Steve Brown, Randy Sanders, Steve Ortmayer, Jimmy Heggins, Rick Petri, Chuck Smith, Chris Thurmond and Larry Brinson. UK actually spends more on assistant coaches than South Carolina, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Papa Brooks ranks No 35 among head coaches nationally and the total spent on UK assistants ranks No 19 nationally. Rich Brooks' contract runs through 2012, and it's almost certain Joker will take over before then. All of the UK assistants have two years remaining on their contracts as well.
