The Bleacher Report breaks down the Top 50 Non-Conference Games for the 2010 Football Season. In the report, the Governor's Cup comes in at No 43. Some might say I'm bias, but I believe this game is much bigger than most realize. This game is huge for recruiting, especially in-state players. It's also Joker vs. Strong, who's got the better coach.
For UK this game represents a non-conference win, which they need every year to become bowl eligible. It's also part of "climbing the ladder". For Louisville this game represents a new start and becoming relevant again. Personally, I love this rivalry, however I wish they would move the game to the end of the season, like most other schools.
