Thoughts on Shamier Jeffery

With Keihl Frazier (2011-QB) committing to Auburn over the weekend, some are wondering what effect this could have on Shamier Jeffery. At one point, the Cats and Tigers were his two favorites because both were offering him an opportunity to play quarterback. With Auburn landing one of the top QB's in the country, does this change Jeffery's mindset? I've been in contact with Jeffery and hope to have an interview in the coming days. Stay tuned.

  1. We have 2 QB's in this class granted thay are not one of the top QB's in the country. I say he plays WR or DB anyway.

  2. Annony, Theltus Cobbins is a very good QB or we wouldn't have offered, you really need to look at his rap sheet the kid looks to have a great SR season! If he truely wants to play QB then he'll come to us we are offering that position, if not he'll sign with South Carolina probably his brother does play there and go as a WR or if he doesn't want to follow his brother's footsteps plenty of other teams would pick him up.

  3. What about the QB from cali ? You don't think Jokers bringing 3 QB's in what looks to be a smaller class do you. If Krags would have stayed one more year we would of had Demarcus now thats a top flight QB.

  4. I would count out DaMarcus being a Cat before it's all said and done. He likes UK's Pro-Style offense versus Louisville's offense. He committed to quick and Joker is still recruiting him. Don't rule out a flip on signing day.

Jeffery needs to play receiver. He can play QB too, but he has potential to be a star at WR. The Cats aren't bringing in Smith becuase they don't have room for him. That's why he will greyshirt. Now, it's still possible another school could come after him. He hasn't signed. Obvisouly Cobbins hasn't signed either. I think he will play QB and if it doesn't work out he will move to safety (remember Matt Lentz?).
