  1. I LOVE your site -- it is the best and most informative on the net, but once again, as with the defense, these are terrible selections.

I LOVE Jacob Tamme, but doesn't James Whelan still hold receiving records for TEs. And how can you leave off SEC Offensive Player of the Year, Artose Pinner? And we only had 4 offensive linemen of note and three of them played last year? (Four if you include Zip Duncan.)

Once again, as with the defense, this is a wonderful idea and a great way to pass the idle days of summer, but you need to give this a LOT more thought.

  2. No Abney or Pinner and despite the scoring record for seiber, i would say taylor begley was a better kicker. pakulak at punter too.

  3. A1, here. Absolutely, Wes. Now we are getting somewhere. We had another placekicker in the early or mid-decade who never missed -- what was his name?

  4. Whalen graduated in 1999.

  5. A2 - could be thinking about Seth Hanson in 2000-2001.

  6. Obviously this was not the best work of the site. Below would be a better list, but still has some question marks.

    QB:

    Andre Woodson

    OLine:

    OT Garry Williams, Antonio Hall

C: Eric Scott (played it for one year, but was great)

OG Stuart Hines, Zipp Duncan (we have not had that many good Guards, Zipp played guard for 2 years before moving to tackle).

    TE:

    Jacob Tamme (not even close)

    WR:

    Keenan Burton

Stevie "Got Loose" Johnson (just a better overall player then Dickie).

Derek Abney (Cobb will probably take his place, but he has a couple more years to go).

    FB:

    John Conner

    RB:

    TOSE!!!!!!! Piner

Little was great, but not Pinner. But I will take Little on my team any chance I can get him.

    Honorable Mentions:

J-Load, Roundmound of Touchdown, J-Lo, Pillsbury Throwboy QB

    Glen Holt WR

    SPECIAL TEAMERS:

P - Tim Masthay (Andy Smith was good as well)
    K - Begley

  7. That's a little better. here are a few more names worth consideration:

Aaron Boone -- WR: had a monster senior year
Aaron Miller -- OL: did not last, but was great while he was here
    Kip Sixberry -- OL
    Keith Chatelain -- OL

We have been blessed with some great punters. The ones you have listed are VERY good, but I still think Glen Pakulak may have been the best of the bunch.

  8. Not sure Johnson deserves to be up there. As memorable as his senior year was, he spent two years of his eligibility spent as a JUCO and did essentially nothing as a junior, and his pro success probably shouldn't be taken into account.

  9. What did Glen Holt ever accomplish as a wide receiver? The best center we have had this decade was the transfer from the Naval Academy.
