Thursday Night UK Football Notes and Links

Former UK tight-end, Jacob Tamme, visited the Cats today and addressed the team after practice. Tamme and the Colts are doing well at 5-0. Hopefully he worked with the tight-ends some in practice.

Both Paul Warford (CB) and Justin Jeffries (OT) practiced today and will make the trip to Auburn with the team. Per Rich Brooks he hopes the players get better over the next 48 hours prior to game time.

In case you missed it, UK landed another commitment today from Ryan Smith (Cordova, Al). Smith is pretty versitle and has played quarterback, running back and cornerback in high school. Some reports project Smith as a safety in college. If that holds true, UK has three safety commits in the 2010 class.

Taylor Wyndham wants his game to match his play. Since the Tim Tebow hit, Whydham has become the most popular player on the football team. Wyndham made a great play against South Carolina when he stripped the ball from Stephen Garcia.

The Birmingham News takes a look at the SEC and provides their midseason review. Clearly, UK has played the toughest schedule so far and have the injuries to show for it. UK needs to win badly against Auburn to help their cause for a fourth consecutive bowl bid.
