2010 Recruiting Rewind- Joseph Mansour

Joseph Mansour (K) will make an impact as soon as he arrives on campus. Mansour can consistently kick field goals from 50+ yards and will make a huge impact on kick- offs. He was rated very high as a Punter too! He can flip the field position which is crucial in every game. Some reports suggest Mansour runs a 4.4 forty-yard dash; therefore he is a threat for fakes as well. Mansour was named to the Georgia All-Decade team.

  1. Joe Mansour is one of the major keys to UK's recruiting class. UK has had some fine placekickers in the past, but Mansour has a chance to become the best.

I don't want to get ahead of events. But if Mansour holds the placekicking job for four years, it is virtually inevitable that he will demolish UK's career scoring record and leave as the program's all time leading scorer. Lones Seiber holds the current career scoring record, but Joe has a great deal more range and accuracy than Lones. So if UK's offense puts Joe in scoring position, he will become a prolific scorer over the next four years.

  2. When we look back on this class, he could be the "gem" of the class. He could be a household name early in his career.
