Last night I had the opportunity to interview David Stevenson (2011) from Stephenson High School in Georgia. He currently plays with Raymond Sanders, Jabari Johnson and Ronnie Shields who have signed with UK (2010). He is excited about his senior year and feels his team has a ton of returning talent. As he stated, "we have a lot of returning talent, guys are waiting on their turn."
Currently David has offers from Southern Miss and Troy, but receiving interest from Georgia Tech, Middle Tennessee State, Western Kentucky and Indiana. He feels both MTSU and WKU are recruiting him the hardest right now. He did briefly meet the UK coaches who came to the school earlier in the year. He also attended Georgia Tech and Auburn's Junior Days.
He was recently named the MVP of the National Underclassman Combine and will attend the Top 100 camp. He would love to have his decision made by the end of summer. His goal is to simply focus on school and football during his Senior year.
Schools are recruiting David to play Cornerback. He is currently 5'9" and 170lbs. He runs a 4.4 forty-yard dash, has a 35" vertical and 4.02 shuttle time. Like all Stephenson players, David will bring a good attitude and winning tradition to which ever school he attends.
