Barnhart wants Brooks to stay

UK athletic director, Mitch Barnhart, wants Rich Brooks to continue coaching at Kentucky. However, Barnhart says he wants it to be Brooks' call as well. In Chip Cosby's article, the AD talks about how the athletic department has supported the football program. It's hard to tell if Brooks and Barnhart are playing chess at this point. Brooks wants more money for his staff and more upgrades for Commonwealth Stadium. Barnhart claims the University is working on those upgrades.

  1. When you use sealing the pipes at Commonwealth as support of the football program you know you are in 100 percent spin mode.

  2. huh? Sorry I Do not understand the post. Surely it does not mean what it reads, does it?

BTW, CRB deserves almost anything he wants:

    1. upgrades to the stadium--YES

    2. pay raises-YES at least moderate

If he wants the program to be Big Time then treat it like hoops and spend the money. That is why I personally hate UK BBall--it rules at the price of UK FBall. One of the best quotes that I ever read on a blog was "The worse that that ever happened to UK FBall was UK BBall"

    That statement is very underrated

  3. That is why I started this blog...to promote the football program. Mitch needs to get it together. There are many boosters that would contribute to Rich Brooks' wish list if that meant keeping him around another year...they would probably do it for Joker too!

  4. We should be raking in the money with the TV deals and those last 4 bowl games didnt pay too shabby either. I think BB is self sustainable so football should be able to keep most of its share. Also, as usaul Im with Bill!
