Cody Robinson (2011-OL) Recruit

Yesterday afternoon I had the opportunity to interview Cody Robinson (Warren County, TN) about his recruitment. He informed me he is receiving a interest from approx 20-25 schools with Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Duke, Ole Miss, UCLA and Purdue recruiting him the hardest. Cody does not have his first offer, but is expecting schools to start offering soon.

Cody attended UK's camp last year and will attend the camp again this year. He plans on attending several camps, including the Nike Combine in Atlanta, GA (March) as well as Tennessee's, Duke's, Vandy's and Alabama's one day camps. He told me he would like to decide on his future before his senior season, but he is waiting to see which schools extends offers to him. He grew up a Tennessee fan as his dad played for the Vols back in the 80's.

Cody also said, "I like Kentucky a lot and was impressed with their staff during the camp." One other factor the Cats may have going for them is Cody's father played with UK Coach Randy Sanders at Tennessee. Cody also said, "The SEC is greatest conference in America."

Most schools are recruiting Cody to play offensive line, however he could play defensive tackle as well. He is currently 6'4" tall and weighs 310lbs. His bench press max is 410 lbs and his squat max is 565 lbs. He also runs a 4.9 forty yard dash.

  2. Cody wants to play in the SEC and should start getting some offers. If Tennessee offers they will be hard to beat, but UK could land him if they pursue him. He likes UK's facilities and coaching staff.

Your right, the kid is a monster.

  3. Syracuse University is a great school with tradition, many schools of study and prestigious and they need a player of this caliber. Think Big East for a moment and you will turn your attention to Syracue. Div one football is where its at. Go Syracuse!
