I just interviewed QB Neal Pawsat from Mason County (Maysville). He will be a Senior this upcoming season and is still rehabbing an MCL injury (he did not have surgery) sustained the last game of the '09 season (his team lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs). Neal originally started out playing Running Back and as a Punt Returner in 3rd Grade, but switched to QB in 6th Grade.
Neal grew up a die-hard Bengals fan and plans on studying either Accounting (his favorite subject in school is Math) or Criminal Justice in College. At this time, he has no offers and is open to going just about anywhere to play. He lives near the water, so his favorite hobby is Water Skiing, and is very close to his family.
He is one of the top QBs returning to action this fall, and he plans on attending at least 3 camps: UK, UL, Duke, and possibly Illinois (he has sent out tape to approximately 20 schools)
Neal said that he feels like the strengths of his game are his passing accuracy, ability to read defenses, and film study. During the offseason, he plans on continuing the rehabbing of his injury and working on his speed (he plans of running track this spring as well).
Neal likes how UK handled the transition from Brooks to Joker Phillips and also stated that he thought that UK had a very strong '10 recruiting class.
